Koktra uses very few cookies, and none for advertising. Here's exactly what we use, why, and how to stay in control.

The short version
We set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use a small amount of browser storage to remember your cookie choice and any Trip Style Finder preferences, and those stay on your device. We don't currently run analytics; if we ever do, it will only load after you choose "Accept all".
What cookies and localStorage are
Cookies are small text files a website can store in your browser. "localStorage" is a related browser feature that lets a site save a little information on your device without sending it back to the server. Both are common ways for sites to remember small things between visits.
The consent banner
When you first visit, you'll see a short banner letting you accept or reject non-essential storage. We split this clearly:
- Essential. The minimal storage needed to run the site and to remember your consent choice so we don't keep asking. This is always on, because the site can't function sensibly without it.
- Optional analytics. Only loaded if you choose "Accept all". We don't run analytics today, but the banner is built to honour your choice if we add a privacy-respecting measurement tool in future. Choosing "Reject non-essential" keeps it off.
Browser storage for your preferences
Two small things are saved in your browser's localStorage, on your device:
- Your consent choice — so the banner remembers what you decided.
- Your Trip Style Finder settings — so the finder can remember your preferences as you use it. The finder runs entirely in your browser, and these choices are never sent to us.
Google Fonts
Our pages use fonts hosted by Google. When your browser loads them, it makes a request to Google's servers, which necessarily involves sharing your IP address as part of that request. This is about delivering fonts, not tracking you, and we don't set advertising cookies through it. See our Privacy Policy for more.
How to control cookies
You're always in charge. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, which will bring the consent banner back. Every major browser also lets you block or delete cookies and clear localStorage; their help pages explain how. Blocking essential storage may mean the banner reappears on every visit.

If our cookie use changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
